one foot in and one foot back,

but it don’t pay to live like that.

i want to have both feet planted here. i want to look forward, and not back. i want to be invested. i want to love my city and long to see God do great things in it. i long for deep, below-the-surface, honest-to-goodness community.  life’s too difficult with “one foot in and one foot back,” and i don’t want to live like that anymore.
